Billy Eugene "Gene" Reynolds

Billy Eugene "Gene" Reynolds, 79 of Cullman, entered into rest on Sunday, March 2, 2014 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. Gene was born April 17, 1934 in Blount County, Alabama. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 4, 2014 from 12-2 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison, Alabama, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Reverend Jim Laney and Reverend Barbara Trussell will officiate. Burial will follow in Sardis Baptist Church No. 2 Cemetery. Gene is survived by his wife of 35 years, Betty Reynolds; son, Bradley Reynolds and his wife Amy; daughters, Kyla Patton and her husband Brandon Twilley, Jean Laura Reynolds Bailey and her husband Gary; brother, Alton Reynolds and his wife Juanita; sisters, Gladys Majoy and her husband Ken, and Barbara Trussell. He was "PaPa" and "Poppy" to nine grandchildren, Cassidy Patton, Jesse Patton, Austin Twilley, Levi Twilley, Blakely Reynolds, Damedia Jo Pendergrass, Wynema Rose and two great grandchildren, Shawnee Roger, Trevor Roger, and a host of nieces, nephews and other family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Velma Reynolds; brothers, Chester Reynolds, Virgel Reynolds, Troy Reynolds and Charles Reynolds.
