Winnette Cooper Hill Obituary (1924

Winnette Cooper Hill, 93 of Haleyville, entered into rest on December 31, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Winnette was born on February 10, 1924 in Houston. She was a member of Corinth Heights Baptist Church for over 70 years. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 from 6-8pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where services will be Wednesday at 10am. Dr. Lance Hogan and John Williams will officiate. Burial will follow in Corinth Heights Baptist Church Cemetery. Winnette is survived by her sons, Williams "Frankie" Hill and his wife Lucia, and Charles R. Hill and his wife Tropia; daughter, Sheliah Williams and her husband Wayne. She was grandmother to 7 grandchildren, John Williams, Tina Garrett, Ryan Williams, Chris Hill, Joey Hill, Stephanie Hill and Winnette Hill; 8 great grandchildren, Jason Garrett, Hannah Garrett Newell, Jeffery Williams, Starr Williams, Dominic Moore, Leah Moore, Elaina Hill and Caroline Hill; and great great granddaughter, Kara Newell. Among others, Megan and children, and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles P. Hill; daughter, Sherry Hill; parents, B.F. and Essie Mae Smith Cooper; brothers, Bill, Otis, Therlow and Aaron Lee "Joe" Cooper.
