William "Jeff" Jeffrey Hawkins

This obituary was lovingly composed by Mr. Hawkins' family: 

William “Jeff” Jeffrey Hawkins entered into eternal rest on Monday, August 12, 2024. He passed away peacefully in his sleep, in his home in Double Springs, Alabama.

Jeff was born on December 31, 1964 in Baltimore, Maryland. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed golf, NASCAR, basketball, and football (long time Tiger Woods, Dale Earnhardt, Orlando Magic, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan, respectively). If a game was on TV, you would find him sitting in his favorite recliner or preferred spot on the couch. He also enjoyed four wheeling, hunting, fishing, fast cars, playing drums, bowling, and rock music. Two of his favorite bands were Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath. He also belonged to a men’s bowling league in Kissimmee, Florida for a period of time. 

Jeff was a hardworking man with extensive experience as a bodybuilder, bodyguard, and automotive shop manager, among other things. It was his passion for cars that led him to become the General Manager of St. Cloud Texaco, a landmark service station in St. Cloud, Florida. He was also a Service Writer at Mullinax Ford Dealership in Kissimmee, Florida, as well as a Service Advisor at Whitman’s Service Center in Haleyville, Alabama.

With respect to his wishes, there will be no funeral services.

Jeff is survived by his daughter, Taylor Hawkins; son, William “JJ” Jeffrey Hawkins, Jr.; sister, Christie Hawkins; niece, Jennifer Haen; three aunts, Rachel Lyons, Virginia Wilson, and MaryLu Butler (Thierry); and uncle, David Hawkins.

He was preceded in death by his father, George "Bill" William Hawkins; mother, Ruth Hawkins; and sister, Laurie Haen.
