Sarah B Darnell Obituary (1939

Sarah Lorene Bryant Darnell, 78 of Hayden, entered into rest on Sunday, February 25, 2018 at St. Vincent's Blount Hospital in Oneonta. Sarah was born on December 7, 1939 in Cullman, Alabama. She was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church. Sarah enjoyed her grandchildren and family. She was known to many as "Duck". Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 from 12-2pm at Nichols Funeral Home, Addison, where services will be held at 2pm . Brother Ricky Bartlett, Reverend Adam Whitehead, and Reverend Steve Hallmark will officiate. Burial will follow in New Hope #1 Cemetery. Sarah is survived by her husband of 61 years, Billy Joe Darnell; son, Richard Darnell and wife Pam; daughters, Sheila Jackson and husband Martin, Cindy Hallmark and husband Steve; brothers, Gerial Jones, Doys (Betty) Jones, Stanley (Lois) Jones, Kenneth (Judy) Jones, Preston (Delores) Jones, Coy (Linda) Jones, Leon Jones; sisters, Wennell Lovoorn, Hazel (L.D.) Widner, Audy (Jimmy) Kilpatrick, Ernestine Jones, Dona (Joey) Allen. She was "Granna" and "Nanny" to 5 grandchildren, Shelana (Shane) Moore, Amanda (Josh) Richardson, Whitney Darnell, Nick Darnell, Jonathan (Sarah) Hallmark; 7 great grandchildren, Sarah Grace Moore, Grayson Shane Moore, Gabriella Jewel Moore, Sophie Rose Moore, River Joshua Richardson, Bristol Cruz Richardson, and Alexis Savannah Rowe. She was preceded in death by her father, Grady Edward Bryant; mother, Zola Lorene Jones; brother, Donald Edward Bryant; and sister, Norma Wren.
