Roxie Ann Brannon Obituary (1935

Roxie Ann Brannon, 83 of Addison, entered into rest on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at UAB in Birmingham, Alabama surrounded by her loved ones. Mrs. Brannon was born on August 13, 1935 in Lamar County, Alabama. Roxie was a member of Addison First Baptist Church for 40 years and enjoyed singing in the choir. She was a part of Eastern Star. Roxie enjoyed playing Rook, Canasta, and loved working in her flower beds. She was also known by the nickname "Foxy Roxie". Roxie was known as "Grandmaw" or "Maw Maw" to her 15 grandchildren and "Grammy" to her 18 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Friday, December 21, 2018 at Addison First Baptist Church in Addison, Alabama from 12pm-2pm with services at 2pm. Brother Kenny Sudduth, Brother Mark Kimbrell, and Brother Garry Fowler will officiate. Roxie is survived by her son, Danny Brannon and his wife Annette; daughters, Joyce Hayes and her husband Gary, Lafonda Tyree and her husband Ricky, and Lettica Fowler and her husband Garry; sister, Janary Hood; grandchildren, Deanna (Blake) Stephenson, Amanda (Robbie) Lee, Brandie (Matt) Ward, Isaac Hayes, Candace Smith, Tandy (Erin) Hoover, Timica (Daniel) Alonso, Dean (Jessica) Fowler, Chelsia (Haynes) Riddle, Garrett Fowler, Maegan Fowler, Kendra Tyree, Kodie Schafer, Simon Netherton, and Halie (Cody) Kline; great grandchildren, Ethan Schafer, Chloe Lee, Gracie Lee, Weston Smith, Mattie Ward, Chandler Stephenson, Kadence Netherton, Violet Riddle, Talon Woodard, Zane Smith, Matthew Lee, Delia Woodard, William Kline, Brier Riddle, Kalel Hoover, Grady-Tucker Ward, Ricky-Tanner Ward, Max Riddle, Lanie Fowler, Anna Grace, Ella and Colin Fowler, and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Dexter Anthony Brannon; daughter, Donna Jo Heart; parents, Jesse and Pearl Stephenson; brothers, Leon Stephenson, and James Robert Stephenson; sisters, Azilee Anderson, Alzie Noblett, Faye Stephenson, Gay Miller, and Pearleane Chapplear.
