Martha J. Everett Wilson, 80, of Arley, passed away on November 15, 2017, at Hendrix Health Care in Double Springs, Alabama. Martha was born on March 13, 1937, to Grover Lee Everett and Anna Mae Everett in Houston, Alabama. She attended Addison High School before moving to Delray Beach, Florida. Martha married the love of her life, James “Jim” Wilson, on June 3, 1958. Martha worked for Bell Telephone Company while living in Florida, then worked as a stay-at-home mom raising her two children. Martha was a member and attended Arley First Baptist Church for over 40 years. Martha enjoyed sewing, quilting, painting, crocheting, playing the guitar, singing and growing flowers. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 19, 2017 from 12:30pm-2pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison, where services will be held at 2pm. Brother Bill Tittle will officiate. Burial will follow in Meek Cemetery. Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Grover Lee Everett and Anna Mae Everett; her sisters, Dorothy Everett, Vesta Waid, Olivene Sellers, Lucille White and her brothers, John Everett and Grover Lee Everett, Jr. She is survived by her husband, James N. Wilson of Arley, Alabama; her son, Jeffrey V. Wilson and wife Cathy of Huntsville, Alabama; her daughter, Kathy Wilson Gilbreath and her fiancé Steven Wakefield of Double Springs, Alabama; her granddaughter, Rachel Gilbreath of Double Springs, Alabama; her two grandsons, Timonthy Wilson and Thomas Wilson of Olathe, Kansas; her grandson, Stephen Scott and wife Kimberly of Fort Polk, Louisiana; granddaughter, Holly Davidson of Huntsville, Alabama; granddaughter, Candie Morgan of Phoenix, Arizona; grandson, Brian Beck and wife Amy of Gardendale, Alabama; grandson, David Beck and wife Alicia of Birmingham, Alabama; grandson, Michael Beck and his fiancé Rene of Auburn, Alabama; granddaughter, MaCayla Beck of Huntsville, Alabama; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Van White, Tim Waid, Timonthy Wilson, Thomas Wilson, Stephen Scott and Tim Gilbreath.
