Marion "Mickey" Max Linley Obituary (1934

Marion “Mickey” Max Linley, 84, of Houston, entered into rest on March 27, 2018 at Lakeland Community Hospital. Mr. Linley was born on February 4, 1934, in Hamilton, Alabama. Max served 2 years in the United States Army during the Korean War. He attended Burleson Church of Christ. Max retired from the United States Forestry Service after 31 years, where he received numerous service awards. He was a Mason for 42 years in Winston Lodge #877 F&AM Masonic Lodge in Double Springs. He loved to hunt and fish. Max was known as “Mickey” by family and friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 29, 2018 from 3pm-4pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs, where services will be held at 4pm. Burial will follow in Littleville Cemetery in Haleyville. Reverend Michael Turner will officiate. Mickey is survived by his son, Rickey Linley and his wife Pamela; brother, Harlie Linley and his wife Diana; sisters, Hazel Myrick and her husband Jim, and Bobbie Ellis and her husband Wendell. He was “Papaw” to 3 grandchildren, Casey Baker, Mason Linley, and Christy Pierce and her husband Jamie, and 2 great grandchildren, Fisher Pierce and Tyde Pierce. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna England Linley; daughter, Vickie Joan Baker; parents, George Palmer and Ruby Lindley; brothers, Horace Linley, Dewey Linley; and sister, Magdalene Colburn.
