Joe Annie Watkins, 81 of Logan, entered into rest on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at The Folsom Center in Cullman. Joe was born on February 23, 1937 in Winston County, Alabama. She graduated from Ensley High School. Joe was a member of Addison First Baptist Church for 20 years and was a Sunday School Teacher. She enjoyed reading. A graveside service will be held Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 2pm at Hillcrest Cemetery, Addison, Alabama. Brother Mark Kimbrell and Brother Samuel Tucker will officiate. Joe is survived by her husband of 60 years, John H. Watkins; daughter, Johanna Kay Watkins; brothers, Horace Bates Jr., David Earl Bates; sisters, Betty Minton, Louise (Fred) Marks, and Ruth Brown. She was "Maw Maw" to 1 grandchild, Gregory Paul (Emily) Ross and 2 great grandchildren, Adeline P. and Harvey W. Ross She was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Jo Ross; parents, Horace and Flossie Bates; son in law, William Paul Ross; sisters, Peggy Thomas and Dolly Smitherman.
