James Junior Pinkard Obituary (1934

James Junior Pinkard, 83, of Winston County, entered into rest on February 27, 2018 at Floyd E. “Tut” Fann Veterans Home, Huntsville. Mr. Pinkard was born on May 6, 1934, in Double Springs. James proudly served in the United States Army for 18 1/2 years. He was a life time member of the Church of God. James was a servant of God serving as a pastor, sunday school teacher, and bible teacher. He loved camping. James volunteered for DAV for many years. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 from 11-12pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs, where services will be held at 12pm. Brother Ronnie Lesley, Brother Neal Pinkard, and Brother Delmus Pinkard will officiate. Burial will follow in Fairview Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. James is survived by his sons, Tom Pinkard and wife Beverly, Franklin Pinkard and wife Rita, Andrew Pinkard and wife Linda; daughter, Marie Schlosser and husband Danny; brothers, Neal (Pat) Pinkard, Delmus (Shelia) Pinkard; sisters, Virginia Mahaffee, Genevia (Harry) Telford, Shirley Doty; 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren that called him “Paw Paw”; a host of nieces and nephews; and a long time christian friend Lloyd Frazier. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Pinkard; parents, Wallace and Mae Pinkard; sisters, Willene, Christine; brothers, J.D, Floyd, and Lloyal.
