James "Jim" Howard Cooke Obituary (1935

James "Jim" Howard Cooke, 83, of Haleyville, entered into rest on January 21, 2019 at Lakeland Community Hospital in Haleyville, Alabama. Mr. Cooke was born on March 24, 1935, in West Palm Beach, Florida. He graduated from West Palm Beach High School in 1953. Jim was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church and was the former owner of Jim's Plumbing business. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchild, Madison. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 from 12pm-2pm at Nichols Funeral Home Chapel in Haleyville, Alabama where services will be held at 2pm. Dr. Ron Horton will officiate. Burial will follow in Winston Memorial Cemetery in Haleyville, Alabama. Jim is survived by his wife of 51 years, Beulah Mae Cooke; daughter, Misty Cooke Springer and her husband Thomas. He was known as "Paw Paw" to his 9 grandchildren, Megan Springer, Kylie Crane, Amber Springer, Madison Springer, Bailey Springer, Frankie Manier, Chris Manier, Karlie Armstrong, and Kaitlyn Armstrong. He was preceded in death by his sons, David Manier, Ricky Howard; parents, James and Martha Cooke.
