Gilbert "Snowman" Nelson Frost Obituary (1956

Gilbert "Snowman" Nelson Frost, 61, of Nauvoo, entered into rest on February 12, 2018 in Mesquite, Texas. Mr. Frost was born on May 30, 1956, in Haleyville. Mr. Frost served in the United States Air Force for 6 years. Gilbert drove a truck for Ashley Furniture, and was known on the CB as "Snowman". He was a loving husband, dad, and "Paw-Paw"/"Pa-Pa", and enjoyed spending time with his family. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2018 from 6pm-9pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville. Services will be held at 2pm, Sunday, February 18, 2018, at Enon Missionary Baptist Church, where he will lie in state from 1-2pm. Brother Jeremy Glenn will officiate. Burial will follow in adjoining Cemetery. Gilbert is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Shelia Harper Frost; son, Craig Frost and his wife Leia; daughters, Jennifer Frost Schafer and her husband Christopher, Cassidy Frost Smith; brothers, Woren Frost and his wife Audra, Wyman Frost and his wife Linda; sister, Mary Frost; and father in law, Gary Harper. He was "Paw-Paw" or "Pa-Pa" to 6 grandchildren, Ethan Schafer, Kylen Bray, Madeline Bray, Draven Frost, Logan Frost, and Bentley Smith. He was preceded in death by his father, Virgil Frost; mother, Eather Dover; and mother in law, Opal Harper.
