Eddie Bartlett Obituary (1932

Eddie Bartlett, 86 of Logan, Alabama, entered into rest on Wednesday November 21, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Bartlett was born on September 1, 1932 in Addison, Alabama. Eddie was a member of White Oak Baptist Church for over 60 years. Eddie was well known for his sweet smile and his kind and loving heart. He loved riding horses and farming. He rode his horses everyday to check the cows. The community knew him well and loved seeing him ride by on his horse with a big smile and a wave, usually there wasn't a day that passed that you didn't see Eddie riding with the dogs following along behind him. Lots of times he would be accompanied by his riding buddy of 86 years, Charles Hood. He was known as "Pawpaw Eddie" by most of his family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 23, 2018 from 6-8pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison, where services will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 10am. Brother Tim Aris and Brother Adam Edmondson will officiate. Burial will follow in White Oak Baptist Church Cemetery. Eddie is survived by his son, Michael Bartlett and his wife Judith; granddaughter, Makala Turner and her husband Jesse; brother, Troy Bartlett and his wife Pat; sister in law, Bert Bartlett; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vieva Stallings Bartlett; parents, Marion and Vener Bartlett; brothers, Veron Bartlett, Roby Bartlett, and Roy Lee Bartlett.
