Dorothy "bo" Cummings Obituary (1945

Dorothy "Bo" Lee Cummings, 72, of Haleyville, entered into rest on June 13, 2018 at her home. Mrs. Cummings was born on September 18, 1945 in Haleyville, Alabama. She was given the nickname "Bo" by her brother. Dorothy obtained her GED and then went on to Bevill State Community College to graduate with an LPN degree in 1981. She worked 15 years at Burdick West Hospital and 14 years at Russellville Hospital. Dorothy enjoyed gardening, crocheting and painting pictures.Visitation will be held on Friday, June 15, 2018 from 6pm-8pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where services will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 2pm. Burial will follow in Thornhill Church of Christ Cemetery. Dorothy is survived by her sons, Gregg Cummings and his wife Mary Butler, Rick Cummings, Byron "Tank" Cummings; daughter, Annette Hulsey and her husband Royce; sister, Betty Sapp; and nephews, Jared and Jason Dooley. She was "Mawmaw" to 2 grandchildren, Justin Butler and his wife Jennifer, Brandon Cummings; and 2 great grandchildren, Maddie and Lane Butler. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Cummings; parents, Fred and Ethel Dooley; and brother, Pat Dooley.
