Chad Kilpatrick

Chad "Elrod" Kilpatrick, age 51 of Arley, passed away Monday, October 21, 2024.

He was born December 1, 1972 to Donie and Brenda Kilpatrick. Chad loved being outdoors, kayaking, fishing, mowing grass, feeding his "critters", gardening and showing everyone all of Jessica's (Jelly Belly) cool tricks. He loved to collect items and always found the coolest treasures. Chad had to always have the sharpest knife around. He had a talent for designing and fabricating things. Chad will be missed dearly by so many.

Family will receive friends Thursday, October 24, 2024 from 5:00p.m. until 6:30p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison. A celebration of life will be held at 6:30. Brother Greg Dollar will officiate.

Chad is survived by his parents, Donie and Brenda Kilpatrick; daughters, Alexus (Gage) Colburn and Kelsy (Micah) Godfrey; sister, Karen (Paul) Anderson; grandson, Beau DeVette Godfrey; nieces, Madison (Chase) Corbin and Kaylee (Cale) McCord; great niece, Amelia McCord; great nephew Shep Corbin; beloved dog, Jessica, aka "Jelly Roll"; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his aunt and uncle, Terry and Shelby Kilpatrick; aunts, Judy and Billy Jo Cutcher and Linda Bartlett; uncle, Joe Stover; maternal grandparents, Albert and Ophelia Stover; paternal grandparents, Cecil and Dorothy Kilpatrick; cousins, Lee Ann Kilpatrick and Lee Cannon; and his dog, Weinee.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help cover Chad's final expenses.
