Betty Sue Robinson, 81, of Addison, entered into rest on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Princeton Baptist Medical Center surrounded by her loved ones.
Mrs. Robinson was born on January 27, 1937 in Cullman, Alabama. Betty was a member of The Church Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for over 57 years with her involvement extending into her role as the pianist and Choir Director and Custodian. Betty loved helping and serving others. She loved music and conducted choirs, played piano and even yodeled on live radio. Betty also loved to garden and preserve the fruits of her labor.
Visitation will be held Saturday, August 25, 2018, from 12- 2pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison, where services will be held at 2pm. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Addison.
Betty is survived by her sons, Michael Robinson and his wife Shelly, Mitchell Robinson, Mark Robinson and his wife Lynn, and Marty Robinson; daughters, Melba Thompson and her husband Arthur, Michelle Morring and her husband Stephen; brother, Rayburn James; sisters, Ival Lou Thomas, Freda Swann, Ruth Hogue, Joyce (Nelson) Ragsdale, and Shirley (Thomas) Baker; and special nephew John Robinson. She was "Nanny"" to 17 grandchildren, Shena Ward, Amy Allred, Bence Powell, William Sim Robinson, Seth Robinson, Molly Robinson, Benjamin Robinson, Isaac Jeb Robinson, Emma Robinson, Landon Robinson, Kayla Melson, Hannah Capps, Claire Morring, Ella Morring, Olive Morring, Noley Morring, Micah Breeden; and 4 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Robert Sim Robinson; daughter, Marilyn Robinson; grandson, Blake Robinson; parents, Oliver and Myrtle James; sisters, Obera Mosley, and Othera Thornton.
